Mind Full Of Art
Therapeutic Art & Emotional Wellbeing Support for Children (7–16)
A Safe, Creative Space for Children to Calm, Grow & Thrive
Mind Full Of Art is my therapeutic, multisensory wellbeing programme designed for children aged 7–16, delivered privately, in schools, and in community settings across Lancashire. Using therapeutic art, mindfulness, breathwork, guided relaxation, journaling, and sensory tools, I help children reduce anxiety, build confidence, and develop lifelong coping strategies.
This is not about perfect artwork. It’s about soothing the nervous system, understanding emotions, and giving children a safe space to express themselves in their own time, their own way.
What Children Experience in a Mind Full Of Art Session
Every session is child-led and shaped around your child’s emotional, sensory, and developmental needs.
A Multisensory Therapeutic Approach, Sessions may include:
- Therapeutic art making (colour, mark-making, texture, mixed media)
- Mindfulness activities that support grounding and emotional awareness
- Journaling prompts to help children process thoughts and feelings
- Guided relaxation & visualisation
- Breathwork and gentle movement
- Essential oil room mists, ambient music and soft lighting
- A calm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, accepted and understood
By combining art, mindfulness, sensory tools and emotional support, children learn to self-regulate and connect with themselves in a meaningful way.

Community Sessions
Small group sessions offering connection, peer understanding and creative emotional support.
With 30 years in education — as a teacher, SENCo, attachment & trauma specialist, foster carer, and parent of a neurodiverse child — I bring deep understanding and a gentle, informed approach to every session.
Why Therapeutic Art Works
Therapeutic art allows children to:
- Express emotions safely without needing words
- Release tension and calm the nervous system
- Build emotional literacy
- Strengthen problem-solving, creativity & flexible thinking
- Experience mastery, pride and self-belief
- Feel heard, understood and accepted
It’s a gentle, non-invasive approach that children genuinely enjoy — and the emotional growth lasts long after the session ends.
